Environ's Essential Care moisturisers contain increasing amounts of vitamin A as well as other vitamins and antioxidants. How It Works?

Start low, go slow.

Our skin needs to become accustomed to vitamin A, especially if it has a vitamin A deficiency.

How the skin reacts to vitamin A varies from person to person and depends on the number and condition of vitamin A receptors in the skin. If your skin reacts to vitamin A, it may be experiencing a harmless “vitamin A reaction” — not an allergy, but a temporary response that usually fades within a week or two. The result can be mild redness, itching, or small bumps — all signs that your skin is adjusting and beginning to build tolerance.

The Environ Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ is created to reduce the possibility of a vitamin A reaction — helping your skin look progressively smoother, younger and more radiant. After pre-cleansing, cleansing and toning with Environ products, start with the moisturiser containing the lowest amounts of vitamin A and other ingredients. Use 2 or 3 containers until your skin is completely comfortable with a low level of vitamin A and other ingredients.

Then move on to the second level moisturiser with the next highest amount of vitamin A and other ingredients. Again use 2 or 3 containers until your skin is comfortable before moving on to the third "STEP-UP" level. Continue this process until you reach the top level of the Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™, with the highest amount of vitamin A and other healthy skin essential nutrients.
